Show will feature classic and special interest cars, live music and food

Bumper-to-bumper traffic can be expected at Mayfield Heights Car Show this Thursday as it shows off classic and special interest cars.

Car Parts Warehouse is sponsoring the show and there is a $5 registration fee for those wishing to showcase their car.

“It’s a nice family night out where you can view cars and stick around and hear some oldies,” said Patty Rogaliner, parks and recreation administrative assistant and event coordinator.

The car show usually draws roughly 100 cars, Rogaliner said and people are registering up to the day of the event.

Owners whose cars draw enough interest from the crowd or mayor can win a plaque as well, Rogaliner said.

For those who are not as interested in cars, oldies band Eddie & The Edsels will be performing from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and a 50/50 raffle will be held.

Money collected from registration will benefit programs geared toward children hosted by parks and recreation, she said.
