ReplyWinning at what price? That's the bottom line here. PSU is lucky they didn't get the death penalty. And while it is ashamed student athletes have to pay the price, what message doe it send out if nothing was done? This was a huge cover up top to bottom for one sole purpose, to get a record. Bobby Bowden paid the price for a cheating scandel and lost wins, this is much worse. People's lives will never be the same., ruined when one word could have ended things ten years ago or sooner.

ReplyAnn academics at PSU may be great, but what message does it send to the students and athletes when such a prestigious institution stood by and did nothing. I'm originally from pa, the school is lucky it did not get the death penalty. What happened is a tragedy and while alums will stand by Joe pa, to know this was occurring and do nothing? Think more about those poor victims. The NCAA only went by a report sanctioned by the school and did what was right. Happy valley will never be the same due to one man and a cover up by educators who are supposed to teach values and morals to kids.

Kristin, the food and atmosphere there are great. Tell your hubby Id love sometime to see how he brews the beers, and yes the roast beef sandwich is great. Stopped by again for lunch the other day.

ReplyI've had no problem with my blackberry and AT&T, but when I had Verizon and a razor there was no service or minimal with me never being able to hold a full call as soon as I hit Avon Lake.

Ann, you misinterpreted what I was saying. Many in my family and I come from a large one attended PSU. It is a good schol academically. What is sad is those who still support a so called legend. One word from him and Sandusky was in jail. But records and winning meant more to the people who are supposed to set values for life and that is unnacceptable. Support of your alma mater is one thing, but those defending paterno, that's a whole different ballgame. He may be deceased, but he had more power than the governor of pa in my home state and did absolutely nothing...why winning meant more than destroying someone's life.
