The cost of remodeling each of the four elementary schools is 85% - 95% of the cost of demolishing and rebuilding Boulevard Elementary, which is about $20 million, maybe a little less.
But that is of little interest to the LFC members. I think the "remodel vs build new" question needs to see the light of day. For the $100 MILLION high school and both $25 MILLION middle schools. And the elems, as described above.

ReplyThe only thing the citizen/taxpayers are voting on is whether or not to raise their own taxes. There's no "plan".
Just a blank check. The equivalent of giving car keys and whiskey to teenagers.

Count me in, Lou. I no fan of these arbitrary municipal borders we "honor".
The politicians and developers are not constrained by them, why should We The People be constrained in such a manner?
