Firefighters were called to smoke on the east side of the building about 9:40 a.m. and reported to police that there was someone living there. Crafty Scam Nets Thief Cases of Beer A man has hit two Giant Eagle stores in Fairlawn with a scam that allowed him to walk out with multiple cases of free beer. According to the report, the man identified himself to the manager as a Tramonte Distributing employee who had come to inventory the shelves for outdated beer. He went into the cooler and loaded six cases of Miller Lite, plus a six-pack of Miller Lite, into a shopping cart, then wheeled it out to his car and left. Donkeys On The Lam In Brecksville Brecksville resident Becca Craig was shocked to glance out the front window of her Gatewood Drive home to find two donkeys chasing her pup Barney around the front yard Tuesday afternoon. The man reportedly inhaled a 12-ounce aerosol can then passed out and crashed in the 200 block of Roselane Street SW. Dagostine, 43, of Tallmadge, was charged Feb. 26 with aggravated robbery, a first-degree felony, in connection with a Huntington Bank heist in Cuyahoga Falls. Fortunately, police did not have to track him down as Dagostine was already being held in Summit County Jail on a separate robbery charge. On Feb. 24, Dagostine allegedly walked into the Giant Eagle-Huntington Bank, handed the teller a note demanding money and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. …

Everton Gillings -- a man suspected of participating in a home invasion -- is the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force’s fugitive of the week
The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force is offering a reward for information that leads to the capture of fugitive Everton Gillings, who is accused of robbing people at gunpoint. Gillings is wanted by the U.S. Marshals and the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office. He faces charges of kidnapping, aggravated burglary and eight counts of aggravated robbery with a firearm. All of these charges stem from an alleged home invasion that happened in September of 2012, according to the Task Force. Gillings is a 20-year-old black man. He is about 5 feet, seven inches tall and 150 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. Gillings is believed to be hiding somewhere in the Collinwood neighborhood.
