For some, the day after Thanksgiving is a time to relax, spend time with family and digest that bird they gobbled down yesterday. For many others, it's a day to get the best bargains on gifts and, often, the electronics and big-ticket items they have been eyeing for themselves all year. Beachwood location to be one of 32 new stores nationwide opening for the holiday shopping season.
Beachwood is one of only 32 cities Microsoft has pegged for a new brick-and-mortar store. The new store will be in the Beachwood Place Mall, PC Magazine reports. Follow us on Twitter | Like us on Facebook The stores will open by the start of the holiday shopping season and will include a panoramic wall wrapping around the entire space where shoppers can watch video and try out video games before they buy them, the magazine adds. A Microsoft spokesperson told Columbia, Md. Patch that the stores will provide a premium retail experience, "allowing customers to interact with Microsoft-enabled products that impact the way we live, work and play." Approximately 30 protesters gathered along Cedar Road near Beachwood Place Mall to protest the sale of animal furs
Some 30 protesters led a Fur Free Friday protest at Beachwood Place Mall along Cedar Road just outside the mall's property. Leigh Davis of Cleveland Animal Rights Alliance said that forty-five million animals are killed a year at fur farms for their fur. The alliance has been in existence for 19 years. Davis urged shoppers to buy cruelty free products.
