Hillcrest Hospital Honors Its Volunteers

Lunch program held at Executive Cateters.

Sue Georges received the Volunteer of the Year award at Hillcrest Hospital's annual Volunteer Recognition Luncheon at Executive Caterers at Landerhaven. There were 220 volunteers who were honored, including Robert Cromling, who received an award for 25 years of service. Speakers included Hillcrest Hospital President Jeffrey Leimgruber, Mayfield Heights Mayor Gregory Costabile, Hillcrest Hospital Auxiliary President Rose Marie Brigneli and Laura Mioranza, director of Patients First. Entertainment was provided by Ed Leonard, Lake Ridge Academy director of jazz studies, and Lindsey Leonard, a graduate of the Baldwin Wallace College Conservatory of Music. Hillcrest Hospital Auxiliary Has Jewelry Sale

Three-day event will be in atrium.

Hillcrest Hospital Auxiliary will have its annual InDesign Jewelry Sale in the hospital atrium starting on Wednesday. The sale will start early Wednesday morning and run continuously through Friday afternoon. Most items cost $6. The auxiliary's purpose is raise funds for the hospital and provide service for the hospital and its patients. The volunteer group has raised more than $1 million for the hospital since it joined the Cleveland Clinic system.

Hillcrest Hospital Hosts 'Celebration of Lights'

Auxiliary presents annual holiday tree lighting ceremony.

Forget about Black Friday – Hillcrest Hospital's "Celebration of Lights" is the event that rings in the holiday season, according to Rose Marie Brigneli, president of Hillcrest Auxiliary. "To me, this is the real start of the holiday season," she said Thursday night at the Celebration of Lights program, a benefit sponsored by the auxiliary. Speaker at the event included hospital President Jeffrey A. Leimgruber, St. Francis of Assisi Church Pastor James Caddy and Mayfield Heights Mayor Gregory Costabile. "It's these types of community events that really inspire the vibrancy in people," Costabile said.
