Mayfield High's Evolution Takes 2nd Place at Rock Off
Evolution finished just nine points behind the champions from Tallmadge and Field
Evolution, the rock band comprised of Mayfield High School students, was nearly named champions of the 2013 Tri-C High School Rock Off. The band of five claimed second place in the "Final Exam" of the Cleveland-area competition, missing the championship by just nine points, according to a Plain Dealer report. Noize from the Basement, with students from Field and Tallmadge, won first place and a $1,000 prize. Evolution received $250, and a $100 donation to the Mayfield High School band fund. "Thanks to all who came to support us tonight, it was an amazing show," a member wrote on the band's Facebook page. "This ride wouldn't have been the same without all of you."
