Cleveland Cinemas 'Taking Precautions' As Batman Movie Opens

In the wake of the shooting tragedy in Colorado, the local movie chain says it will take "precautions to help address our patron's safety."

Cleveland Cinemas says it will "take precautions" in the wake of the tragic and horrifying shooting at a Colorado movie theater that has claimed the lives of at least 12 people and injured some 50 others. A gunman opened fire during the midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises in a suburban Denver theater, and police have arrested the suspect, James Holmes, a 24-year-old graduate student at the University of Colorado, according to the Huffington Post. Mayfield Heights Man Creates Holocaust Documentary

"White Rose Black Rose" to debut this month

David Beckman of Mayfield Heights created a Holocaust documentary, White Rose Black Rose, as a tribute to his late mother, Ilona Beckman, a Holocaust survivor. But he knew there were many documentaries featuring interviews with survivors and he wanted to do something different. "This is something that has never been done before," Beckman said. "It's not just interviews and that's it. I have photos, documents and artifacts. I got everything personal from them." He plans to debut the documentary later this month with showings at the Capitol Theatre at Gordon Square on the West Side and the Cedar Lee Theatre in Cleveland Heights.
