Pool Activities & Tennis Tournament: 5 Things This Weekend in Mayfield-Hillcrest

Here are a few activities in the area you could get into this weekend.

Folks in the Mayfield area have to wait another week for the food and rides of Community Unity Days, but there are still plenty of activities going on this weekend.

Some begin as early as Friday morning. Here are five options for the Mayfield-Hillcrest area:

  • If you want to add some variety to your cardiovascular workout, it's available Friday morning at Parkview Pool for $4. Mayfield Village offers a "Deep Water Exercise Challenge" for adults from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Men and women are invited to the course instructed by "Corky Carl." Find more information here.
  • Want to see talented tennis players from your own backyard? Pay the Highland Heights Tennis Tournament a visit. It's an all-day event, beginning at 9 a.m. Friday and continues on Saturday and Sunday at the Highland Heights Community Park.
  • If you enjoy being outdoors without green balls and rackets, the Highland Heights Family Overnight Campout might interest you. It takes place Saturday night and concludes Sunday morning. Give the city's recreation department a call at 440-461-2440 to find out what activities are planned.
  • Plenty of you make crafts at home, but do you know how to profit from it through e-commerce? The Mayfield Library is offering an Etsy 101 course, detailing how to set up shop on the website that allows people to sell their creations and vintage gifts. You can register here.
