Mayfield Heights Safety Town Graduates 35
There are two more sessions this summer, including one that began this week.
About 35 Mayfield Heights area children blended a bit of safety with their summer fun and were rewarded for it.
The children were the first group of Mayfield Heights Safety Town graduates and were congratulated by Mayor Anthony DiCicco and members of area police and fire departments on graduation day, June 28.
Safety Town is instructed by a certified school teacher and features appearances by departments from Mayfield Heights, Mayfield Village and Highland Heights. The children learn about school bus safety and are shown special equipment on ambulances, patrol cars and fire trucks.
The second summer session began July 1. Session three is from July 15 to July 26. For registration information, click here.
