5 Things You Should Know For This Week

1. Mayfield Heights Community Unity Days, Thursday through Sunday: Food, fireworks and family fun activities are scheduled for one of the biggest community events of the year. 3. Blue Lunch Band, Thursday, 7-9 p.m.: The Friends of the Mayfield Branch Library are sponsoring this concert at the Mayfield Village gazebo. They will also host their annual ice cream social at the concert.

5. Household hazardous waste round-up, Today to Saturday: Highland Heights residents can continue to bring unwanted pesticides, household chemicals and oil-based paints to the Service Department between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The round-up concludes Saturday, 9 a.m. to noon.
