Local Horse Rider, Owner Win in National Competition

Gates Mills residents earned honors at Chagrin Valley Hunter Jumper Classic

Two Gates Mills residents earned top honors in the national competition last weekend at the Chagrin Valley Hunter Jumper Classic at the Cleveland Metroparks Polo Field in Moreland Hills.

Tea Party, owned by Pamela Blossom of Gates Mills, was winner of the Children's Hunter Pony Small/Medium Division. The horse is trained by Jeff Gogul of Chagrin Falls and was ridden by Audrey Layman of Chagrin Falls.

Rider Kate Shaughnessy of Gates Mills won an Ariat National Adult Medal aboard In A New York Minute, owned and trained by Liz Porter of Thompson.
