Gates Mills Rider Wins at Hunter Jumper Classic

Elisabeth Blossom of Gates Mills rode Royal Blue to victory in the Children's Hunter-Pony small/medium division at the Chagrin Valley Hunter Jumper Classic at the Cleveland Metroparks Polo Field in Moreland Hills.

The event, which featured national competition, was part of the final weekend of the  show. The highlight of the final weekend was a new grand prix event on Saturday, one week after the Cleveland Grand Prix.

Jill Prieto of Upperville, Va. won the $25,000 Chagrin Valley Professional Horseman's Association Grand Prix aboard Capone 21, owned by Barbara Roux, also of Upperville.

The field of 20 competitors in the grand prix took on a course of 5-foot-high jumps.
