Has anyone ever heard the phrase “paralysis by analysis”? It means that in looking for an answer that will make everyone happy, or not make anyone mad, NOTHING gets accomplished. No decision is made, no direction is given and no resolution is reached. Nobody wants others to be upset with them, but you cannot make everyone happy.
It is my opinion that you have to make a decision, and move towards the solution. Of course, if new information comes in, you make adjustments. I learned in the military “No plan survives upon engagement with the enemy”. Obviously is phrase is over the top for day-to-day life, but what this means is you listen, you prepare and you plan to the best of your abilities, but then you move on, and be prepared to make adjustments on the way.
