State Gives Mayfield Schools 'Excellent with Distinction' Grade

The rating is the best a district can achieve in the state's grading system

Mayfield Schools had little, if any, room for improvement during the 2011-2012 school year.

The district received the highest possible grade — Excellent with Distinction — on its Ohio Department of Education report card for last year. ODE posted cards on Wednesday for 610 districts across the state on its website.

Mayfield met 23 of 26 of the state's indicators. That means that the district achieved or surpassed most of the state's goals associated with the percentage of students who were at least proficient in their testing, attendance and graduation rates.
