Mayfield High will present the musical "Thoroughly Modern Millie" March 1-4 in the school's auditorium.
Larry Braun will direct a cast of 60 students in the tale of a small-town girl who comes to New York to marry for money at a time – 1922 – when women were just entering the workforce. Professionals working on the show are music director Dave Coxe, costume designer David Glowe, sound designer Sean Szaller and a hair and makeup team comprised mostly of Anthony Rocco's Salon employees.
Show times are 7 p.m. March 2 and 3 and 2 p.m. March 4. There also is a special senior citizen preview set for 7 p.m. March 1. The preview is open to senior citizens who live in the Mayfield School District communities of Mayfield Heights, Mayfield Village, Highland Heights and Gates Mills.
