Mayfield City Schools will be closed on Tuesday, Oct. 30 due to severe weather, the district announced on its web site late Monday.
"Thank you for your patience & understanding," the district said in the post. "The safety of our students and staff is what drives this decision."
Northeast Ohio was battered with high winds and rain on Tuesday. Many homes throughout the region were without power.
