Mayfield Village Council Will Be Meeting Tonight

Council will meet at 8 p.m. today at the Civic Center, 6622 Wilson Mills Road. Agenda items include the third reading and vote on proposed legislation to rezone land for Deacon's Chrysler Jeep.

The auto dealership, which has planned a $2.5 million expansion, wants to rezone two residential properties for business use. If approved by council, the rezoning legislation would appear on the Nov. 8 general election ballot for voter approval.

Also on the agenda are a bid for salt supply for the winter, an expenditure for sidewalk replacement by the Parkview Pool entrance and a motion to spend $38,000 for alterations to the main tower cupola at the Civic Center.
