Name: Stephan H. Parker

Age: 50

Occupation: Orthodontist

Education: Case Western Reserve University, B.S., D.D.S.,  M.S.D.
Office sought: Ward 3 Council

Previous political office sought or held: Ward 3 Councilman, Mayfield Village, Jan. 1, 1996 to present

Statement: It has been my pleasure to serve as your Ward 3 councilman for nearly 16 years.

Over this time period, our community has seen incredible achievements brought about by a council and administration working together to achieve a similar goal … the betterment of Mayfield Village as a place to live, work, raise a family, and spend your "golden" years.

I am proud of the fact that I have been a part of many positive changes in Mayfield Village. There are many examples of our excellent and effective government, including but not limited to … the retention and growth of Progressive Insurance, the widening of SOM Center Road, the acquisition of our "new" Village Hall, the development of our recreation facilities including Parkview Pool, the acquisition of land for public usage such as bike and walking trails for recreation, playground facilities, softball fields, soccer fields, the continued development and improvements made to our infrastructure, including most recently the construction of our new police station, and the continued strength of our tax base (even in difficult financial times).

We are often the envy of our neighboring communities, as our services such as fire/rescue and police remain second to none. Our facilities and services continue to focus on providing our residents with quality and value for their tax dollars.
I believe that as a member of council, we have seen Mayfield Village continue to be a premiere "east side" community, a place that allows residents (of all ages) to enjoy their families and live fulfilling lives within their community.  And in the end, we have been able to maintain our village character and charm, while entering the 21st century.

I ask that your allow me the opportunity to continue the fine work that we have accomplished over the past 16 years.

This year my name is not listed on the ballot.  However, I am registered as the only candidate for Ward 3 council. So I ask that you please vote by writing in Stephan Parker as a "write-in" candidate for Ward 3 on your ballot.

Thank you for your support.
