Mayfield School Board Keeps Same Leadership for 2012

Sue Groszek will continue as the Mayfield school board president and George Hughes will serve as vice president.

Their election was part of the annual organizational meeting of the Board of Education on Wednesday. The board also set meeting dates for 2012 and made board appointments.

The school board normally meets on the fourth Wednesday of the month, although there are exceptions. The scheduled meeting dates for 2012 are: Jan. 25, Feb. 22, March 21, April 25, May 23, June 27, July 25, Aug. 29, Sept. 19, Oct. 24, Nov. 28 and Dec. 19.

Board and district staff members were also appointed to the following posts:

Federal and state legislative liasion – Pete Glynos

Career Technical Education Consortium – Groszek

Tax Incentive Review Council – Al Hess

Staff representative to the Mayfield Area Recreation Council – John Folkman, Mike Barnes (alternate)

Board representative to the Mayfield Area Recreation Council – Hughes, Glynos (alternate)

Board representative to the Mayfield Business Education-Community Alliance – Hughes

Staff representative to the Mayfield Business Education-Community Alliance – Folkman

District Leadership Team – Groszek

Family & Civic Engagement – Groszek, Hughes

Wildcat Community Foundation – Hughes, Glynos (alternate)
