Mayfield Heights Residents to Receive New Water Meters

The new meters should lead to more accurate billing

Mayfield Heights residents should expect to receive new water meters in the comings weeks.

Mayor Anthony DiCicco said he was recently contacted by the Cleveland Water Department about the changes, as part of his mayor's report at the regular city council meeting this week. Residents will soon receive mail correspondence from the department about installation. At that point, residents will be asked to contact the department to schedule an installation time.

Installation will not cost residents, the mayor said. The new meters will be able to make hourly readings, which should prevent any misinformation when it comes to bills.

"(Hourly reading) should virtually eliminate any estimated bills," DiCicco said. "Your bills should be much more accurate."
