1. Weather permitting, will have the first show in the Concerts in the Park series at 7 p.m. Tuesday at City Park. Tony Fortunato will perform and there will be free ice cream, while supplies last. Bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on.
2. City Council will meet at 8 p.m. Tuesday. Agenda items include council recess, electrical upgrades at the community park, the sidewalk repair program and a firm alarm system for the municipal complex.
3. The Highland Heights Garden Club will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Community Center, 5827 Highland Road. New members are welcome to attend a meeting for free.
4. The Cuyahoga County Public Library , 1491 Chagrin River Road, will kick off its summer reading program with a steel drum concert from 3-5 p.m. Saturday. There will also be crafts for kids and refreshments.
5. An Adult Afternoon Out, presented by the Mayfield Heights Recreation Department, will featured an Italian Picnic from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Ross DeJohn Community Center, 6306 Marsol Road. Cost is $10. The menu is pizza, sausage, dessert and coffee and Carmelina will provide entertainment.
