5 Things You Need to Know This Week

Mayfield Olympics, shredding days and government meetings

1.  The third annual Mayfield Olympics will be from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Ross DeJohn Community Center, 6306 Marsol Road. There will be a variety of games and food from Tomaydo Tomahhdo. Cost is $10. To register, call the Mayfield Heights Recreation Department at 440-442-2626, ex. 267.

2. Mayfield Heights will have its third annual recycling/shredding day from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Ross DeJohn Community Center, 6306 Marsol Road.

3. Highland Heights City Council will meet at 8 p.m. Tuesday. Items on the agenda include a motion to hire an architect to prepare drawings for a barn pavilion for the Community Park and authorization for the city engineer to prepare a site plan for the green space project.

4. Mayfield Heights City Council has canceled a meeting scheduled for tonight due to lack of an agenda.

5. Mayfield Village will have a Community Shred Day from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday in the parking lot of the Civic Center, 6622 Wilson Mills Road. Residents and businesses may bring up to five storage boxes of paper to shred.
