Three-Car Crash & Theft at Homecoming: Gates Mills Police Blotter

The following information was provided by the Gates Mills Police Department.

Three-car crash on Mayfield Road: The Gates Mills Police Department responded to a three-car crash at 3:45 p.m. Oct. 2.

Nobody was injured in the crash on Mayfield Road. One of the drivers, a 67-year-old male from Bonita Springs, Fla., was cited for failure to maintain an assured clear distance ahead.

Light stolen: Police received a report of a theft from Gilmour Academy's homecoming dance on Oct. 5.

The complainant, a DJ working at the dance, told police at 11:03 p.m. that somebody stole one of his portable LED lights from the gymnasium area. Police did not locate a suspect.

Crash on Brigham: Gates Mills Police responded to a two-car crash at 3:51 p.m. Sept. 30 on Brigham Road.

An officer determined a 27-year-old female woman from  Chesterland failing to maintain an assured clear distance ahead while driving. No injuries were reported.
