Police Say Man Shot, Nearly Killed Friend After Game: Fugitive of the Week

The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force is looking for information on Anthony Dowell II.

The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force is on the lookout for Anthony Dowell II.

Dowell is wanted by the U.S. Marshals and the Shaker Heights Police Department for attempted murder. Dowell shot—and nearly killed—a friend after a fight over a dice game back in October, said a press release from the task force. The friend got on an RTA bus and got away. 

Dowell, 30, is about 5’11” and 170 pounds. He’s thought to be hiding in the Cleveland area, and he used to live near the 1000 block of Roanoke Road in Cleveland Heights.
