Police Investigating More Gilmour Thefts: Gates Mills Blotter

The following information was supplied by the Gates Mills Police Department

Incidents reported April 9-12:

More thefts at Gilmour: An employee at Gilmour Academy called Gates Mills Police around 10:25 a.m. April 9 to report that an unspecified amount of money was stolen from the aquatic center locker room.

An officer met with the caller, who said money was taken from "several" unsecured lockers. No arrests have been made. About a week earlier, police received reports of car break-ins in front of the school.

Road altercation: Gates Mills Police responded to a road rage incident around 5:38 p.m. on April 9. A 911 call came in reporting an altercation on Chagrin River Road between a bicyclist and a motorist.

An officer soon located and spoke with the involved parties who told the officer they had resolved their right-of-way disagreement amongst themselves.

Idling and intoxicated: At 11:37 p.m. on April 12, a Gates Mills officer saw an occupied vehicle parked on the side of Battles Road. Further investigation revealed that the a woman was sitting inside and intoxicated.

The driver, a 46-year-old from Highland Heights Ohio, was arrested and taken to the Gates Mill Jail. She was charged with drunken driving and operating a vehicle with a prohibited blood alcohol content.
