Police Blotter: Woman Who Urinated in Police Car Faces Several Charges

A caller at 2:11 a.m. June 27 said a car was in the fence on the right side of Interstate 271 northbound. There was also a child in the car crying. The driver was taken to Hillcrest Hospital and urinated in the back of the cruiser on the way. At the hospital, she was combative and needed to be sedated. Police said the woman was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence, reckless operation, child endangering, resisting arresting, no seat belt and lack of child restraint.

A caller at 1:49 p.m. June 27 told police that the driver of a silver Honda was weaving and driving all over Interstate 271 while wearing a large set of headphones. Since the car was headed northbound, police notified Willoughby Hills police about the complaint.

Female employees at a Beta Drive business told police at 5:41 a.m. June 27 that a man was making them uncomfortable. He had been parking in the lot for about two weeks and sitting in his car from 5-5:30 a.m. every day and does not pick anyone up. Police checked and the man had left the area.

An officer spotted a woman by a car with a flat tire at 3:52 a.m. June 25 on Wilson Mills Road. There was also fresh front end damage on the car. The woman was arrested for driving under the influence.

A concerned resident called at 2:39 p.m. June 24 because a black Hummer was driving up and down Robley Lane and two kids were jumping out carrying orange bags. He said he didn't see them put anything into the mailbox or on doors. Police said it checked OK and they were delivering phone books.

A caller at 10 p.m. June 22 said a group of juveniles hide in bushes and jump out with flashlights or flash cameras when cars pull into an apartment drive on SOM Center Road. Police checked the area and only saw a couple walking a dog.

A man who works on Beta Drive called police on June 21 and said people were following him because of religious comments he made on Facebook.
