Police Blotter: Woman Told to Leave Baby Deer Alone

A Cordova Avenue woman had a baby deer in her flower bed at 7:13 p.m. May 24. The animal warden had police tell the woman that the mother would return for the baby and humans should stay away.

A Mayfield Road woman sent cash to an individual via MoneyGram on May 25 and the account appeared as fraudulent.

A Giesse Drive man called at 3:22 p.m. May 25 and said someone put five bags of trash on his tree lawn. He wanted police to pay special attention to the area on trash day.

A Jackie Lane resident called at 4:02 p.m. May 25 and said a man knocked at her door and asked questions about her alarm system. He told her he was there to convert her alarm system and wanted to know the make and model. Police talked to the man, who was soliciting business, and he agreed to stop.

A caller said there was some type of work being done at a Mayfield Road store and some workers were banging things around at 12:50 a.m. May 25. Police said there was work being done on SOM Center Road and the construction company had a permit to do nighttime work.

A man attempted to buy two phones with a fraudulent money order on May 24 at a Mayfield Road business.

A man called police at 10:46 p.m. May 23 and said he was robbed of $560 at a Marsol Road apartment building. However, he didn't want to file a police report.
