Police Blotter: Woman Has Unpleasant Bus Trip

Information supplied by the Mayfield Heights Police Department

A woman said a man kissed her on the neck and groped her while riding on a bus that stopped at Walmart during the early morning of Oct. 24. The man was about 5-foot-5, early 20’s, wearing a black jacket and mustache with a multi-colored hat. The man left the bus and couldn’t be located.

Playing on the roof: Two boys were on top of the back garage at the Coppertree Apartments and appeared to be throwing things upon the arrival of Mayfield Heights Police the evening of Oct. 24. The boys ran off the roof and down toward Mayfield Road. The police caught up to them and admitted playing with Airsoft guns on the garage’s roof. Police later discovered that about 10 boys had been playing on the roof. The police found three of them and told them to stay off the roof.

Hit and run: A caller said a green 2011 Cadillac hit a truck and fled the scene on Aldenham Drive the evening of Oct. 25. The Cadillac hit a 1997 Ford truck. A few minutes later, another caller reported that the car hit a stop sign on Worton Blvd. and Franklin Blvd. The car’s bumper and license plate had fallen off the car as it left southbound with its lights turned off. But police determined there was no damage to the sign. The police attempted to contact the driver but didn’t get an answer.
