Police Blotter: Woman Had No Need to Worry About License Plates

Information supplied by the Mayfield Village Police Department.

A car without plates was parked in a Beta Drive lot for a few days, a caller reported on Aug. 27. Police said a company was trying to repossess the car. They were told of the location and picked it up. A woman also called and said her car broke down and she was leaving town, so she removed her plates so no one would steal them. Police told her the car had been repossessed.

A woman said a man cut her off on Lander Road and she was behind him at Lander and Wilson Mills roads at 8:17 p.m. Aug. 26. Police said no traffic offense occurred, but the woman wanted an officer to talk to the man. An officer did just that and the man claimed she cut him off while talking on her phone.

A caller said a man had his dogs loose chasing rabbits at 7:24 p.m. Aug. 26 at North Commons Bouelvard and SOM Center Road. She told police that the man told her to mind her own business. Police informed Metroparks Rangers about the man.

A bicyclist was hit by a car at 5:11 p.m. Aug. 26 at Wilson Mills Road and Beta Drive. Police said the bicyclist had an ankle injury and was taken to Hillcrest Hospital. The driver of the car was cited for lack of full time and attention while driving.
