Police Blotter: Woman Found Intoxicated

Information supplied by the Mayfield Village Police Department

A highly intoxicated woman was seen near with her pants down in the afternoon of July 17.  The woman didn’t cooperate with providing identification, but the information was obtained by police. Mayfield Heights police received a call from the woman’s sister who lives in Pennsylvania and had been looking for her. The last time she spoke to her, she found that she was in the Mayfield area and highly intoxicated. The sister said she had another sister in Stow who has a daughter in Kent who would come to pick her up from the police station. The intoxicated woman was eventually transported to .

Out of place: Police received numerous calls that a man was standing in the middle Wilson Mills Rd. on the double yellow line screaming at passing cars the evening of July 22. The man was walking in the roadway while on a cellphone. The man was released to a family member. He was told not to stand in the middle of the road screaming at cars just because someone told him to get out of the roadway.

A bad sign: A stop sign near a driveway on Wilson Mills Rd. was ripped down by a construction truck and the concrete base was moved in the evening of July 16. An officer had the sign and put cones around it. The sign was left in the grass area.

Fender bender: A driver was cited for rear-ending another driver in a two-car accident on Wilson Mills Rd. in the afternoon of July 18.

Bad backup: A driver was cited for backing up and hitting a car on an entrance ramp on Wilson Mills Rd. the afternoon of July 19.

Bad driving: A driver was cited for speeding and driving with willful and wanton disregard on I-271 in the northbound lane in the early morning of July 20. The driver was doing 92 mph in a 60 mph zone. Two days later another driver was cited for exactly the same charge, in the same area for the same speed.

Tuned out: A suspicious man came to a Norman Lane residence claiming to be a cable man the morning of July 20. He was a tall man without an ID, a noticeable vehicle or uniform. The man was not let in the home. The man said he was there to fix Channel 3, but no one had scheduled an appointment.

Three for one: A driver was stopped in the northbound lane of I-271 the morning of July 23 for driving without an Ohio driver’s license, false plates and without lighted lights.
