Police Blotter: Woman Finds Chipmunk in Toilet

A Longspur Road woman reported finding a chipmunk in her toilet at 4:21 p.m. Oct. 18. The animal was dead when police arrived and was removed.
A woman called police at 11:55 p.m. Oct. 19 because her dog was barking at the front door for 30 minutes and she didn't see anyone outside. Police said everything checked OK.
A employee noticed a cat with broken back legs at 7:57 p.m. Oct. 18 on the Interstate 271 exit ramp at Wilson Mills Road.
A Miner Road resident called police at 1:03 p.m. Oct. 18 and said a neighbor's dogs were loose and tried to attack his father. Police cited the owner for having a dog at large.
A member of the Highland Heights Fire Department advised at 3:17 p.m. Oct. 17 that firefighters may be going door-to-door to pass out information regarding Issue 2. They were given a copy of the city's ordinance about the time period for soliciting and told not to go to residences with "no soliciting" signs.
