Police Blotter: What's Left of Stolen Car Recovered in Cleveland

Cleveland police called at 8:58 p.m. July 12 to report finding a car stolen out of Highland Heights. The car was abandoned on East 149th Street and had no windows, tires or dashboard. Police said no arrest was made in connection with the stolen car.

A caller said a recreational vehicle was on fire in the express lanes of Interstate 271 at 3:45 p.m. July 12. Police said there were no flames and the RV checked OK. There was also a report of an RTA bus smoking and police said there were two disabled RTA buses on I-271 southbound near Wilson Mills Road.

A man came to the police station at 2:53 p.m. July 10 and said a woman accused him of hitting her car in a parking lot on Alpha Drive. He said he wasn't aware of an accident and didn't see any damage. Police confirmed that there was no visible damage on his car.

A man who was banned from the city park was spotted there at 6:44 p.m. July 8. He was arrested for criminal trespassing.

A Stanwell Drive man called police at 11:24 p.m. July 8 and said he has been scammed and is getting calls from Jamaica every 15 minutes.
