Police Blotter: Wanted Man Spotted in Court

A municipal court employee let police know at 9:57 a.m. Feb. 14 that there was a warrant out for a man who was in the courtroom. The judge wanted to speak to the man, but was waiting for police to arrive. The man arranged for a payment plan with the court and the warrant was cleared.

An apartment resident on SOM Center Road heard a loud bang at 10:18 p.m. Feb. 14 and then the power went out. The apartment building supervisor told police he was aware that a transformer had blown.

A SOM Center Road woman stopped at the police station at 11:38 a.m. Feb. 20 because her husband did not come home the previous night. She said he was supposed to help a friend work on a house in East Cleveland and was not returning her calls. She was advised that it would be a few minutes before an officer could help her. The woman sat in her car on the phone and then drove away without coming back into the station.

A momentary power outage was reported at 3:50 a.m. Feb. 21 along Wilson Mills Road and the east end of the village.

A 17-year-old girl was missing at 5:12 a.m. on Derby Drive. Her mother said the girl went to bed at midnight but was not there when she just checked the girl's room. Police checked for the girl, but were unable to find her. She returned home at 5:42 a.m. and her parents told police they would deal with the situation.
