Police Blotter: Two Suspects Arrested in Burglary on Eastwood

An Eastwood Avenue woman said she came home at 9:15 p.m. May 20 to find two men wearing black in the home. They ran out the back door after stealing jewelry. Police arrested two juveniles, ages 15 and 17, for the burglary.

An Iroquois Avenue woman called police at 12:34 p.m. May 21 and said her roommate stole her TV and wasn't going to return it before moving out of the house. The woman's brother said the TV would be returned after he left work at 4 p.m.

A Bedford man called police at 10:06 a.m. May 21 and said he was being threatened by another customer over a parking space at Eastgate shopping center. Officers stood by while the other man left the area.

A Belrose Avenue man called on May 20 to talk to an officer about someone pulling plants out of his garden and turning on a faucet overnight.

A Summit Drive woman called police at 12:40 a.m. May 20 and said kids were throwing eggs at her house. She said it also happened last summer.

A suspicious car was reported at 3:15 a.m. May 19 at Golden Gate Plaza. Police said a woman inside the car had a fight with her husband and was waiting for things to calm down before heading back home.

A man was caught trying to put a cart full of merchandise past registers at 3:55 p.m. May 18 at Walmart. The merchandise was recovered, but the store still wanted to prosecute.

Lyndhurst police called at 2:55 a.m. May 18 after getting a report about a loud noise that sounded like someone trying to break into a car on Iroquois Avenue. Police said three cars were parked in a dead-end off of Iroquois and those cars, as well as ones in nearby drives, checked OK.
