Police Blotter: Two Callers Direct Police to Intoxicated Driver

A caller said an intoxicated driver went off the road at 7:31 p.m. April 21 on Interstate 271 near the Mayfield Road exit. Another caller said the suspect hit his car and took off. The suspect then hit a guardrail and was on the side of the road. Police arrested the driver for operating a vehicle under the influence.

A juvenile was racing up and down the street in a red four-wheeler at 10:52 a.m. April 24 on Cordova Road. Police talked to the boy and he put the four-wheeler away.

A Bonnie Lane woman found it suspicious that a light was unscrewed and lying in the dirt at 11:11 a.m. April 24. Police checked and said the light bulb was broken.

An Enfield Drive woman found a watch on the floor at 11:12 a.m. April 24 and thought that someone might had been inside her house. Police said nothing appeared to be missing.

A caller said a large man was running back and forth across Mayfield Road at 10:07 p.m. April 24 and was stopping in front of cars.

Lyndhurst police called at 6:03 a.m. April 23 for help looking for a man who asked employees at a Mayfield Road doughnut shop for sexual favors and tried selling them heroin. Police were unable to find the suspect.

A woman said another woman hit her car with a shopping cart at 5:21 p.m. April 23 on Golden Gate Boulevard. She said the woman was not taking responsibility for the damage and they exchanged words. Police talked to the women, who agreed to work it out themselves.

The manager of a Golden Gate Plaza business said three boys were smoking marijuana in the bathroom at 7 p.m. April 23. Police caught the boys at nearby businesses.

A Woodhurst Avenue woman wanted to talk to an officer at 7:12 a.m. April 22 about strange things that were happening to her. She said her phone was tapped and someone might have been in her apartment.

A Marsol Road resident called at 4 p.m. April 22 because he had a cell phone mailed to him from someone overseas and he had no idea what to do with the phone.

A Fruitland Avenue woman called at 4:49 p.m. April 19 because two beagles with leashes were in her back yard. The animal warden was advised and said he knew who was likely the owner of the dogs. He took custody of the dogs and said the owner abandoned them and no longer had any rights to them.
