Police Blotter: Turtle Blocked Traffic on County Line Road

Information supplied by the Gates Mills Police Department

Police were called at 7:41 p.m. May 3 about a snapping turtle that was causing a traffic hazard on County Line Road. An officer found the turtle and moved it off of the road.

A Stoneham Road woman called police at 3:47 a.m. May 2 to report suspicious noises in her house. An officer found a bird, which was captured and released.

A 38-year-old Cleveland man was stopped for speeding at 8:09 a.m. May 4 on Mayfield Road. His driver's license had been suspended. He was cited for speed, no operator’s license and driving under suspension.

A SOM Center Road resident complained about noise at 6:52 p.m. May 5. A neighbor's dog had been barking all day. Police notified the dog's owner about the complaint.
