Police Blotter: Toilet Training Not Going Well for Boy

Fire department personnel went to Cranbrook Drive at 12:38 p.m. May 10 to help a child who had a potty chair stuck on his head. Police said the chair was removed and the boy was OK.

Officers were out stopping drivers for traffic offenses on May 11. Five speeders was stopped between 9-11:20 a.m. on Interstate 271 southbound. Another person was pulled over on Wilson Mills Road for expired plates.

An accident was reported at 8:02 a.m. May 10 on Interstate 271 at Wilson Mills Road. There were no injuries and a citation was issued.

A Wilson Mills Road store called at 10:37 a.m. May 10 about two men who were attempting to make a fraudulent return.

Several callers said a traffic light at Bishop and Highland roads was malfunctioning at 4:38 p.m. May 10. It was flashing in all directions and a passerby thought a semi might have damaged the signal.

A woman said on May 10 she drove off with a set of keys on the roof of her car in the area of Eastlawn and Colony drives.

A hit-skip accident occurred at 7:01 p.m. May 9 at Mayfield High School. A witness said a black minivan left the scene. The car was traced to Commonwealth Drive in Mayfield Heights. Police arrested a woman for operating a vehicle under the influence, driving while under suspension, no operator's license and hit-skip.

A sick raccoon was reported at 8:50 a.m. May 9 at a Cheriton Drive home. An animal warden said the animal was not sick and may have babies in the area.

A golfer finished up around 8 p.m. May 8 at Stonewater Golf Club and triggered an alarm by tugging on a locked door.

A Medway Road resident said at 7:11 a.m. May 8 that someone threw a brick through his car window overnight.

Solicitors were selling Cleveland Indians tickets for 90 percent off at 11:55 a.m. May 7 on Franklin Boulevard. They were told to get a permit.
