Police Blotter: Teen Drives Off Road, Flips Car After Hitting Ditch

An accident was reported at 10:31 p.m. March 9 on County Line Road. One car went off the road, hit a ditch and rolled over. A 16-year-old Gates Mills girl was cited for failing to maintain reasonable control of her vehicle.
An officer stopped a car for a license plate violation at 7:29 a.m. March 6 on West Hill Drive. The driver, a 49-year-old Willoughby woman, was found to have a suspended driver’s license. She was cited for expired vehicle registration, no driver’s license and driving while under suspension and her car was towed.
A caller at 11:50 a.m. March 8 said two people were in a vacant Epping Road home. Officers took the suspects to the police station for investigation. The case remains under investigation.

An officer saw stopped a car for speeding and weaving at 9:25 p.m. March 11 on Mayfield Road. The driver, a 54-year-old Chesterland man, was intoxicated, according to police. He was arrested and taked to jail, where he was charged with speeding, weaving course, operating a vehicle while intoxicated and operating a vehicle with a prohibited blood alcohol content.
