Police Blotter: Suspicous Car Belonged to Utility Worker

Information supplied by the Gates Mills Police Department.

A County Line Road resident reported a suspicious car parked near her at 1:27 p.m. Aug. 17. The car had out-of-state plates. An officer checked and the car belonged to a worker marking utility locations.

An accident was reported at 6:11 a.m. Aug. 18 on Mayfield Road. Officers went to the scene but did not see any signs of a crash.

A 24-year-old Cleveland woman was stopped for speeding at 7:57 a.m. Aug. 19 on Mayfield Road. Her driver's license had been suspended. The car was towed and she was cited for speeding and driving while under suspension.

A Chagrin Falls resident came to the police station at 7:37 p.m. Aug. 21 about a child custody dispute. Police advised that it was a civil matter.
