Police Blotter: Suspicious Man Had Permission to Go Fishing

A suspicious man got out of a truck with a fishing pole and a bucket at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 24 on Skye Road. The man said he had permission to get golf balls and he agreed to park on property.

An anonymous caller at 8:38 p.m. Sept. 25 said a man and a woman were screaming at each other for two hours at a Franklin Boulevard residence. Police checked and said the man was intoxicated and barricaded himself inside the home. The man called police and said his lawyer told him he could lock anyone out he wanted and he asked police to leave. Police took the woman somewhere else for the night and the man wasn't deemed a threat when officers left at 10:47 p.m.

Criminal mischief was reported at 12:08 p.m. Sept. 25 on Williamsburg Drive, where someone wrote "Homecoming 2011" on a driveway. The message wasn't permanent.

A North Applecross house was egged while the owner was out of town. He called at 10:19 a.m. Sept. 24 after finding the damage. An egg carton was found in the front yard.

A woman was begging for money for the Girl Scouts, a Charles Place resident told police at 8:37 p.m. Sept. 23. When the resident refused to make a donation, the woman started yelling and cursing and then damaged lawn decorations. Police caught up with the woman at Highland Road and Charles Place and talked to her about soliciting.
