Police Blotter: Suspicious Male in Work Van Just Need to Get Away

Information supplied by the Mayfield Heights Police Department.

A suspicious white work van was parked in a Mayfield Road lot at 6:56 p.m. Feb. 29, according to a caller who said the windows were blacked out but she could see a TV monitor and it appeared filming was being done. Police said the van checked OK and the occupant doesn't get along with his mother's boyfriend and was just getting away from home.

A woman said someone took the temporary tag off of her 2010 Toyota Camry while she was parked at Hillcrest Hospital, which was between 2:30 p.m. Feb. 21 and 9:30 a.m. Feb. 29.

A Mayfield Road woman called at 8:49 p.m. Feb. 28 and said someone broke into her apartment and stole a bedspread and some pans.

A Crestwood Road man called police at 4:45 p.m. Feb. 28 and said he suspected a neighbor was stealing his electricity because of his current bill. An officer advised the man that he would need proof of the theft.
