Police Blotter: Stray Dog Picked Up on Highway

Information supplied by the Mayfield Heights Police Department.

A caller at 9:26 p.m. Dec. 10 said a woman in a white Jeep let a dog out on Interstate 271 near the Ridgebury Boulevard bridge and it was hit by a car. Police said the woman had actually found the dog. She called Mayfield Village police and was on the way there with animal, which was a stray she found on the highway.

A caller at 5:34 p.m. Dec. 10 said three men in a black Grand Am threw a battery at his car at on Mayfield Road. He said his car wasn't damaged, but he wanted the incident logged.

A man entered at about 11 a.m. Dec 10 and sat there staring at customers. He did not make a purchase. Police told the man to leave and he would be arrested for trespassing if he returned.

A suspect in a robbery in South Euclid was spotted at 10:27 a.m. Dec. 10 at Wal-Mart. The man turned out to wanted in Euclid and was arrested.

A woman cleaning a Landerhaven Court building arrived at 7:34 p.m. Dec. 8 and a man tried to get out of the darkened building when she entered the front door. She closed the door quickly and left the man locked inside. Police said the man was accidentally locked inside and was released.
