Police Blotter: 'Stolen' Computer Is Found at Residence

A Berkshire Road resident called police at 10:04 a.m. May 3 to report suspicious circumstances at his residence. He said he came home recently to find a door unlocked and his laptop computer missing. Police investigated and said the computer had been misplaced and the door was inadvertently left unlocked.

A 911 caller reported an accident at 3:38 p.m. May 7 on Chagrin River Road near Old Mill Road. Police said a car hit several trees and a split-rail fence. The driver, a 62-year-old Chardon man, was taken to Hillcrest Hospital for treatment. The crash is under investigation.

A two-car accident was reported at 11:26 p.m. May 7 on Mayfield Road at Chagrin River Road. A 16-year-old Gates Mills boy was cited for failing to yield the right of way when turning left.
