Police Blotter: Solicitor was Wanted in University Heights

A councilwoman called police at 5:12 p.m. April 30 after a resident complained about a man and woman soliciting in the area of Esther and Roy roads. The woman had a warrant from University Heights, which did not come to pick her up because its jail was full. Police told the pair that they couldn't continue soliciting until they got a permit.
A dead groundhog was found at 9:27 a.m. May 2 on a Radford Drive treelawn. An officer removed he animal from the area.
A Kennelwood Drive woman called police at 3:31 p.m. May 2 because raccoons were getting into her garage. She said they were getting in through the garage door, which she tries to keep closed. She was given a phone number to call animal services.
A man called at 6:14 p.m. April 30 because he wanted a police escort while he picked up his children from his ex-wife on Wilson Mills Road. An officer went with the man, but the ex-wife and children were not home.
