Police Blotter: Solicitor was Collecting for Homeless Children in Highland Heights

Several Strumbly Drive residents called at about 3:30 p.m. Nov. 30 about a volunteer effort collecting money for homeless children in so they can be with their families for the holidays and for a sick girl. Police caught up with a solicitor on Radford and said he had a warrant, but was out of the pickup radius. Police talked to him about the appropriate way to approach residents.

A Renee Drive resident called police at 6:27 p.m. Nov. 30 because someone knocked at her door. She said it was pitch black outside and she wasn't expecting anyone.

A Bishop Road woman called at 7:41 p.m. Nov. 30 and said her front door was shaking like someone was trying to open it. When she looked out the window, she saw a woman standing at the door. Police talked to the woman, who was a solicitor.

A suspicious man in his 20s was walking up driveways at 11:19 p.m. Nov. 29 on Wilson Mills Road, a caller reported. Police checked unlocked cars, which were OK. A suspect was caught and released to his father.
