Police Blotter: Resident Thought Questions About Chardon Shooting Were Suspicious

A Bramblewood Lane resident called police at 10:59 a.m. March 10 after a man and a boy knocked on her door and started asking about her feelings on the Chardon High School shootings. She said they would not identify themselves or what they were doing. Police said the duo were with a group of Jehovah's Witnesses.

A Glenview Road resident wanted to know where there were multiple service trucks in front of her house at 8:48 p.m. March 9. The trucks belonged to county sewer workers who wrapped up the job before 9 p.m.

A caller at 7:40 a.m. March 9 reported an injured goose in the road on Beta Drive. Other geese were standing around the injured goose. An officer moved the carcass to the side of the road and called the service department to get it picked up.

Police went to Stratford Court at 1 a.m. March 8 on a report that a man was passed out behind the wheel of a car. The man said he tried and was unable to get into his apartment. He agreed to leave the area.

A Norman Lane woman called at 10:29 p.m. March 5 because she thought there was an animal in her attic. An officer found a hole in the roof and said there could be a raccoon in the attic. Animal control was called about the problem.

Two men were sitting in a white cargo van parked near the library at 7:03 p.m. March 5 on Wilson Mills Road. They told police they were using the library's free Wi-Fi. Police told them to leave the area.
