Police Blotter: Raccoon in Attic Disturbs East Edinburgh Resident

An East Edinburgh resident called at 11:29 p.m. July 28 because there was a raccoon in his attic. An officer confirmed that there was an animal and gave the resident contact information for an animal service.

A Cheriton Drive man called police at 6:20 p.m. July 28 and said some people stopped on the sidewalk in front of his house and were writing something. He then saw an orange car pull up and turn around in the driveway across the street. The same car sped past him the other day and he was concerned that people were watching his house.

A driver stopped for a traffic violation was arrested for driving under the influence at 8:41 a.m. July 28 on Rose Boulevard.

A woman told police at 9:35 p.m. July 27 that she hit a rabbit on Aberdeen Boulevard and it was still moving when she looked in the rearview mirror. The rabbit was on a tree lawn and the service department was contacted to pick it up.
