Police Blotter: Problem With Signal Backed Up Traffic During Morning Commute

Police were told at 8:01 a.m. March 20 that a traffic light was not cycling properly at the Interstate 271 exit ramp. Traffic was backed up past the Mayfield Road exit. Police checked and said the problem appeared to be a traffic light at that was backing up traffic, which was then filling the ramps. An officer directed traffic to clear the intersection.

A Walnut Drive resident called at 7:49 p.m. March 22 to complain about a neighbor who rebuilds cars and revs the engines. He asked the neighbor to keep it down and the man overreacted and peeled out of the area. The caller said he had pictures showing 50-foot long tire marks.

A man collapsed at 2:55 p.m. March 21 at a SOM Center Road business. The man was taken to Hillcrest Hospital.

A two-car accident was reported at 3:22 p.m. March 22 on Wilson Mills Road. The caller said the cars, a black Ford Escape and a beige Chevy Malibu, were in the high school lot behind the library.

A cleaning person told a dispatcher at 6:27 p.m. March 20 that someone urinated all over the walls and sink in a public restroom at the police station and it appeared to have been done on purpose.
