Police Blotter: Paintballs Fired at Mailman

A mailman came to the police station at 4:13 p.m. Dec. 31 and said someone fired a gun in his direction when he was at a Hickory Hill Drive house. Police said the weapon in question was a paintball gun and a fence across the street had been hit several times. Officers told those involved to clean the paint off of the fence.

A black truck ran into a wall at 10:23 a.m. Jan. 2 in the southbound lanes of Interstate 271. It was locked and empty when police saw the truck. A tow truck was called to the scene.

A woman who sounded intoxicated called at 5:15 a.m. Jan. 2 and wanted a ride to her parent's home. She said her husband hit her and would not let her leave the bedroom. The husband told police she took Ambien and was drinking and had a reaction to the medication.

A caller at 12:22 p.m. Jan. 1 said a man was picking up garage on SOM Center Road and placing it into landscaping. The caller confronted the man, who denied it and kept walking. Police talked to the man and also spoke to the caller about the proper use of 911.

A Kenwood Drive woman called at 12:55 p.m. Dec. 31 and said she thought her neighbors were out of town and there were two vans in the driveway. The men worked for a mortgage company and the house was in foreclosure.
